The 31st Festum Varadinum started

CED joined this year’s Festum Varadinum series of events as a co-organiser. CED cooperates in the establishment of the economic topics of the historic event introducing the local cultural, touristic and gastronomic values, by organising several panel discussions, professional presentations and business development trainings.

A two-week-long cultural event series started in Oradea on 7 May 2023. Festum Varadinum is one of the greatest and oldest community events of the local Hungarian community, where the cultural values, traditions and touristic attractions of Oradea and the Partium are introduced through various cultural programmes, fine arts exhibitions, and events on gastronomy and economics.

This year, also the CED Central European Economic Development Network Nonprofit Ltd. joined the co-organisers of the series of events, and in the framework of which, several presentations and panel discussions focusing economy and business development trainings enrich the offer of programmes of the Festum Varadinum.

Focusing the Hungarian-Romanian economic opportunities

On the day 3 of the event, on 9 May, the professional forum “Oradea Economic Conference” of the CED was held in the banquet hall of the Roman Catholic Bishop’s Palace in Oradea. The event was opened by the presentations of SZIJJÁRTÓ Péter Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and CSEKE Attila, Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration of Romania, with the participation of more than 200 local and Hungarian entrepreneurs and managers.

The purposes of the event were the description of the partner relationships and business opportunities between Hungarian and Romanian companies and the further development and dynamisation of the commercial cooperation between the companies of the two countries.

Presentations and panel discussions were among others about the different EU and Romanian municipal and state tender opportunities and the regional investment opportunities, all with a multi-sectoral outlook.

Program offer diversified also by CEDucation

The business development training series of CED, CEDucation Roadshow visits Oradea first time within the framework of Festum Varadinum, which is included in the programme of the festival on 10 and 11 May as a two-day event, unlike previous practice.

On the first day of CEDucation, the methodology of entry into external markets, the challenges during export processes and their treatment and the international discoverability management and market research are discussed. On the day two of the training, the invited speakers talk about the topic of entrepreneurial generation change, introducing effective age management at the small, medium and large company level as well.
