WINE DINNER IN THE HOTEL JANKOVICH TO INTRODUCE THE TASTES OF UPPER HUNGARY

The Upper Hungarian producers taking part in the Rohonczy Gedeon Mentor Programme introduced themselves in the Hotel Jankovich, Rácalmás, Hungary within a framework of an exclusive wine dinner. For the seven-course menu and the auxiliary drink and wine selection, the various basic materials, meat and cheese products and wine and pálinka specialities of these producers were used.

The cooperation between the CED Central European Economic Development Network Nonprofit Ltd. and the Stylish Rural Intellects (Stílusos Vidéki Értelmiség) has arrived at a new stage. Owing to this, a complete menu and a wine selection offered for the courses were created from the basic materials, wine and pálinka selections of the Upper Hungarian producers taking part in the Rohonczy Gedeon Mentor Programme launched by the CED.

In the exclusive, seven-course wine dinner organised in the Jankovich Hotel, Rácalmás and envisioned by the chefs of the prize-winner Hibiscus Restaurant, the basic materials and the various meat and cheese products produced by the producers mentored by the CED were used for every course.

“Our Rohonczy Gedeon Mentor Programme has arrived at a new stage, since this wine dinner is the first time when a complete menu was based on the products of our mentored producers from the appetiser up to the desserts and the wine specialities served to the dishes. I believe that after the success of this wine dinner, our mentored producers can move on to another level and soon they qualify among the circle of the high-end gastronomy in the Carpathian Basin” - said CSÍK László, the general manager of the CED Central European Economic Development Network Nonprofit Ltd. coordinating the Rohonczy Gedeon Mentor Programme.

In addition to the gastronomy enthusiasts, specialised journalists and industrial experts also took part in the event, therefore, this wine dinner highly facilitated the increase of the awareness of the Upper Hungarian producers within the professional circle and the establishment of possible supplier cooperation with high-profile restaurants.
