Gyula Pomazi

As head of the office, he aims to make the office a strong, independent institution, which, in addition to performing the patent tasks that have been its main activity for 125 years, should also provide as much assistance as possible to companies operating in Hungary in the field of R&D qualifications. With his leadership, with his colleagues he is working on opportunities that are solutions, but at least it can help businesses in the crisis situation caused by the coronavirus.

Although he graduated as a mechanical engineer at the Budapest University of Technology in 1989, during his career he was and is still concerned with the strengthening of the Hungarian economy, the corporate management and the development of the Hungarian corporate culture.

Prior to leading the office, he also served as Deputy Secretary of State for Industry Strategies and Regulation in the Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the Ministry of National Economy, he was the managing director of ForArea Gazdaságfejlesztő Kft, he was the Deputy CEO of E Group Magyarország Rt, and worked as a strategist in MOL's telecommunications business department and as a senior consultant at Coopsystems Szervezési és Vezetési Tanácsadó Kft.

He obtained his consultant’s qualification in Germany and his management qualification in the Netherlands.

He is the founder of the Management College of the Budapest University of Technology.
