Ukraine is one of Hungary's major foreign trade partners, the value of Hungarian exports to the Ukrainian market exceeded EUR 1.89 billion in 2018. Our major export items include machinery and electrical products, mineral products and various chemical products.
The most significant Hungarian-owned companies operating in Ukraine are affiliate enterprises of OTP Bank Plc., MOL Plc., Richter Gedeon Plc., Egis Pharmaceuticals Plc. and Astra Holding. Hungarian companies can achieve further success mainly in the fields of renewable energy, waste management, food industry, various IT solutions and construction.
