Romania is a key strategic partner of Hungary. The two countries bilateral relations are dynamically developing, in which the fact that Romania has the largest Hungarian community with almost one and a half million habitants play a key role.

In 2018, Romania was the fourth most important export target market for Hungary, with exports exceeding EUR 5.3 billion, an increase of more than EUR 200 million compared to the previous year.

Based on preliminary surveys and market feedback, Hungarian companies can establish successful partnerships in areas such as food, agriculture, health, construction, metal, machinery, automotive, and information technology.
