Hungary and Slovenia have established exemplary economic and political relations over the last 25 years. The dynamically developing cooperation is also due to the fact that Hungary is one of the first countries to recognize Slovenia's independence and to establish diplomatic relations with it. Hungarians in the Muravian region and the Slovenian community in the Rába region play a key role in maintaining and strengthening the balanced cooperation between the two countries.
Successful cooperation between the two countries can also be seen in Hungary's foreign trade figures considering that the Hungarian export volume to the Slovenian market in 2018 has already exceeded EUR 1.1 billion.
Based on preliminary surveys and market feedback, Hungarian companies can establish successful co-operation in areas such as agriculture, food (meat) and metals.
