Autumn Fair of Odorheiu Secuiesc - for as many as the 30th time

The most prestigious economic and cultural event series, the Autumn Fair of Odorheiu Secuiesc to be held between 15 and 17 September has a jubilee this year. Within the framework of the three-day event, various programmes with gastronomic, cultural and economic focus are waiting for the interested guests. Similarly to the previous years, the CED helps the successful organisation of the Autumn Fair as a co-organiser this year as well.

The Autumn Fair of Odorheiu Secuiesc, the most significant economic event series of not only Odorheiu Secuiesc but the whole Szeklerland is organised - with the cooperation of the CED Central European Economic Development Network Nonprofit Ltd. - this year for the thirtieth time.

The event with a history of three decades has a wide range of programmes to offer, since concerts, wine and gastronomy festival, traditional programmes and an economic fair are waiting for the guests whose number is several tens of thousands every year.

Cross-border economic cooperation

As a side event of the Autumn Fair, the CED is organising a meeting for businesspeople with professional presentations, with the title of “Business conference and B2B meeting”. Additionally, together with its 13 Hungarian partners, it takes part in a collective national stand in the economic display of the International exhibition and fair. Within the framework of the conference, the business organisations and professional associations of the region offer prizes to the best-performer companies of the region.

“Szeklerland and within it Odorheiu Secuiesc have strategic importance in terms of the cross-border economic and commercial cooperation. Therefore, the Autumn Fair has a prominent role in the professional activity of the CED every year. For instance, this year we organise a professional forum not only providing the opportunity for business people and managers from Szeklerland and Hungary to directly meet each other but we contribute to the economic development and the increase of the competitiveness of the region by useful professional presentations as well” - said CSÍK László, the general manager of the CED Central European Economic Development Network Nonprofit Ltd.

Inside the city sports hall and in the vicinity thereof outdoors, within the framework of the International Exhibition and Fair, about 150 exhibitors and local producers introduce their products and services every year. In the previous year, owing to the CED, exhibitors arrived also from Hungary, who can in this way directly contact the dominant distributors and companies in Szeklerland.
