HUNGARY IS HONORARY GUEST AT THE 53TH MOS INTERNATIONAL FAIR IN CELJE

This year, Hungary was honored to participate as a guest of honor at the MOS International Fair that will take place in Celje between 15-19th of September, 2021. The thematics of the Hungarian participation focuses on the presentation of modern Hungary, in the framework of which the national pavilion awaits those who are interested with numerous interactive attractions and accompanying events, as well as a program element that is preservating the traditions and presenting the Hungarian culture. Among regional Hungarian corporations, 26 export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises will also introduce themselves at the event.

The official opening of the 53rd MOS International Fair began with a welcome speech by Prime Ministers Viktor Orbán and Janez Janša, after which the prime ministers visited the 26 exhibiting Hungarian companies introducing at the stand of CED, and the national pavilion of Slovenia.

Hungary, as a partner country of the MOS International Fair, participates in the event with a 525 sqm sized independent national stand, which was opened by Péter Szijjártó, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Zdravko Počivalšek, the Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology.

In the national pavilion, various government ministries, ministerial background institutions, regional corporations and the Slovenian department of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry are equally represented. Visitors in the pavilion can get to know about Matyo folk art, traditional Hungarian folk music and dance, the world-famous Rubik's Cube, and get an insight into the world of the Hungarian gastronomy through an open-view kitchen and tasting excellent quality Hungarian wines.

The national pavilion awaits those who are interested with professional forums, interactive programs and various sports attractions through the whole event, such as the Hungarian innovation, Teqball, or the high-tech interactive sports installations consisting of many attractive stations. The goal is the Presentation of the modern Hungary in the 21st century in addition to Hungarian traditions.

Furthermore, 26 export-capable, outstanding Hungarian companies introduce themselves on an independent stand of about 200 sqm. The Hungarian companies cover almost the entire spectrum of Hungary's flagship industries, thus companies are coming from the food industry, mechanical and automotive industries, light industry, IT/ICT areas, creative and fashion industry, chemical industry and sports economy.

As an accompanying event - in the spirit of sports diplomacy cooperation - a handball gala match will be organized between the most successful teams of Hungary and Slovenia: RK Celje and Telekom Veszprém.

The aim of the emphasized Hungarian participation and the additional events is to increase the number of co-operations between Hungarian and Slovenian companies and to boost the value of trades between the countries.
