The Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA), the Hungarian Development Promotion Office (MFOI) and the CED Central European Economic Development Network Nonprofit Kft. concluded an agreement on the harmonisation of their activities and the targeted promotion of projects supporting the joint establishment and promotion of regional economic cooperation, especially in the Carpathian Basin and the Western Balkans.

Within the framework of this trilateral agreement, the parties intend to promote the performance of cross-border capacity and economic development projects which can be financed from direct EU funds, and which support the European integration of the Western Balkans. The HEPA, the MFOI and the CED intend to increase the efficiency of the cooperation by establishing international partnerships and involving the central and local government actors affected by the development together as well as the private sector.

As a result of the agreement, the parties intend to highlight mostly the switching to green economy, corporate innovation, digital transformation and the promotion of transportation and energetic links, by tailoring them to the economic development needs of the given region.
